Aniligital Music presents a collaborative project with Volcano Entertainment to celebrate the forthcoming release of the complete Revenge of The Nerds collection to Blu Ray. To celebrate, we've been commissioned to remix four classic tracks from the original Revenge of the Nerds soundtrack and release them on a limited edition SQUARE record. Curating such a project wasn't easy. First we had to select the tracks and then attach each track to the right remix artist. On this record you can expect everything from a rather straight-forward Sly Players edit of the Gleaming Spires classic "All Night Party" to the utterly sampledelic remix of The Rubinoos' "Breakdown" by who else but The Breakbeat Junkie. But not before Q-Burns Abstract Message truly re-nerds Bone Symphony's "One Foot In Front Of The Other" with a scientifically calculated four on the floor beat featuring a cameo by Ogre himself! And lastly South City Allstars' Funksway provides a faithful but utterly reworked and updated rendition of Andrea & Hot Mink's "Manhattan". Our goal was to capture all the nerdiness of the originals but give them unique twists and DJ friendly edits. Everyone who's worked on this project, (including the label artist Super Ugly) is a huge fan of both the original movie and soundtrack. We hope you enjoy this limited edition record as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you.
